Business as usual during ghost month (8pm-11pm window for running)
Next post comes when I get 1 unique visitor. Until then, I'll say goodbye.
Hello! I'm a 17 year old guy from Singapore studying in a polytechnic trying to be better. To be more specific: losing weight and to become more fit. Hopefully I get there (I must!)

Running more
2.5km running + 7.4km cycling.
I can sustain 3:30min/km in the first minute or so. Multiply that by 9, and I'm done. Now to train so that I can do that. Doesn't seem so hard after all. (or so I say)

A good day in training
Probably the most productive day to me in terms of losing some weight. And I set a few new records. Yay!
33,377 Steps
76 floors climbed
26.8km Run/Walk distance
9am: Ran 3km
9:45am: Biked 3km
3:30pm: Went to hike up Bukit Timah Hill
and then hiked down to Hillview via the mountain biking trail which I shouldn't be going on. But it was fun!
9:30pm: Felt a surge of adrenaline. I don't know how, but it made me just feel like running again.
So I ended up running 3km more. Walked another 5km to get more steps (and because I felt like it)
Surging adrenaline really works. I can maintain about a minute of 3:30min/km pace! If I can keep this pace for 9 minutes, and only 9 minutes, I have accomplished my goal. But not today. I'll get there someday though.

Fasted Run
Ran about 2.7km at around 9:30am. I heard that it burns more fat because I'm in a faster state, but as a result, it was absolutely tiring. A whopping 21 minutes needed. Still better than the "2.4km in 24 minutes" guy I was known for in school. Time rebuild my pride.

Inaccurate distances
Used Runkeeper today. It says 2.51km in 14 minutes! Yay!
But wait. The path ran looks really jagged. Used google maps, and said that I only ran 2.3km. Time to adjust it!
2.4km in 14:36. Next time it is.
P.S Will run 2.6km in Runkeeper and it should be accurate enough.

Training turned trialing
All seems well when I hit 7.5 minutes at 1.4km (aka on track for 13 minutes), using the Speedometer app. And I hit reset. So I had to extract data from my phone and dreadful news: 15:20 for 2.43km. Time to install Runkeeper (not sure why I didn't do so at the start).
But more positives to take: I jogged the first 700 metres without stopping (and at respectable pace). Was just thinking I was doing a run until I realized I'm actually running quite well. So I started timing. And then I hit reset.
Looking forward to using Runkeeper for more accurate data.

Hurting joints
My joints hurt if I run. Till the point where it will hurt when I try to rush into the train. However, after I warm up, they dont anymore. I can run normally! Not sure why. Should I rest it? Don't wanna to get injured (obviously), but I'm motivated enough to continue running (almost) everyday. 9 minutes, here I come!
Primary objective: 11 minutes. Then I can officially abolish my reputation as "Fatfk that can't run".
Main objective: 9 minutes. Looking forward to this day. 1 year maybe? I will get there.

Another training session
Just another day of running. Gonna make this a routine. Running slow or fast, doesn't matter. So long as I get out there and excercise, should be good.
Jogged about 45 seconds for 1-1.5min of rest. But the jogging isn't fast, its just normal speed (slower than yesterday)

For the first time in years
Hopefully, in 2 weeks, I can go below 60kg for the first time in forever! (no frozen reference here)
Since P5 or so I'm kind of a fatass already. Been so long since I'm below 60kg. Once I get there, wow. It's been years.

More running and walking
More like "jogging fast" and "panting and strolling". Because in the "running" state, I'm basically trying to estimate how fast I'd have to run consistently to reach 9 minutes. Currently I'm doing about 30 seconds run and 1-1.5 minutes walk. Should I try sprinting? It will be absolutely tiring though
And of course, in just 2 weeks, I'm runing everything. First, dropping the phone and giving it a free crack. Now, rinsing earbuds in water and now they're damaged. (I'm an idiot). Hopefully putting it in rice overnight will work.

No more time trialing
Will stop timing myself on each run because I feel that it's demoralizing. I'll just run a distance (hopefully) everyday, so I keep training myself.
Update 3 August: Tried "Run 30 seconds walk 1.5 min" tactic. Felt MUCH better since I didn't clock time. Might do 1 time trial every 2 weeks or so, see if I improve.

Day 7
14:21! Although the main thing I did was to take a bus to the start instead of biking there. Not like it makes much of a difference.
800m: 4:40
1600m: 9:10ish?
2400m: 14:21
Should have hit 14 minutes because of the last crap. But I think I'm improving. I'm only 1 week in, See if I can hit 12 minutes in 1 month!
Looking at it 9 minutes is kinda hard. But take 1 step at a time. I'll get there slowly. *cue the motto*
If she can do it, WHY CAN'T I???
I should really rest my joints out. Hurtin a little.
